Submissions

Sizzle & Bang galleries, a newcomer to the Santa Fe Arts District, is opening its doors this summer. We are now accepting submissions of artwork to bring our new space to life.

Considered will be paintings, etchings, print-making, mixed-media, sculpture, installation art and other 3D work (please no photography or crafts). Welcome are both emerging and mid-level established artists seeking representation with artwork that “sizzles and bangs” as our name suggests. We seek artwork with energy, passion & complexity – artwork that’s edgy, bold, raw, provocative and/or artwork that shows a new technique or a new way to use an old technique.

Submissions accepted via mail or email. Portfolios should contain:

• A minimum of five images of artwork for consideration accompanied by titles, dimensions, and medium.
• Artist biography listing previous/current exhibitions and representation, significant sales (and prices), education, et cetera.
• Portfolios must include a SASE for return. The gallery accepts no responsibility for inadequate postage.

Review typically requires a 1-month turnaround period, during which the gallery will contact the artist with any questions and/or to set a time for an in person meeting at the gallery. A 2nd appointment to view artwork at the artist’s studio may also be arranged depending on the nature of the artwork.

After review, artists’ portfolios will either be returned to them via the postal system or kept for further consideration. In the latter case, artists will be notified by the gallery directly.
